Boys and Boats

Something that my boys like to do is rummage through the recycle bin

and make things out of the empty boxes.

Well on this particular day they made a boat that floats.

I love to see my boys enjoying each others company and working so well together.

It just warms a mamas heart.

Soccer 2011

One of the best things in life is having children.

I love being a mom and I love seeing my kids be successful.

Keith Just came off a dream year for football.

He went straight into soccer that had started four weeks earlier.

He missed two games along with three other starters due to football.

The team had a good year and were able to make it into the playoffs as the 11th seed.

We traveled down to Tuscon and watched the first and final game of their playoff ride.

The temperature was about 26 degrees when they started play and even colder with the wind.

Keith was very happy to be the goalie that day,

because he was able to wear pants and a long sleeve shirt.

On the other hand being goalie is a tough job.

Keith was kicked while he was down literally.

In the Tuscon paper Keith is on the ground with a mouth full of foot.

Thank you Keith for all of the great memories of H.S. soccer.

Excitement at Dinner

Last night we went out to dinner to plan our goals for FHE. On our way out the kids found a breast cancer fundraiser. They wanted a quarter to try and get it on a little platform at the bottom of a glass container fulled with water. So I thought it is for a good cause and handed them each a quarter. Much to my surprise not one of my boys but two of my boys were able to land the quarter on the little pedestal one on top of the other. They were thrilled! Jeffrey came running up to me as I was paying the bill and said Mom we just won a vacation to Disney World in Florida. Yes it is true upon further investigation if you made your quarter on the pedestal you would win a trip. So we did not only win one trip we won two trips. All I know is that as a Mom it was the perfect end to a perfect dinner.

Kindergarten Construction

Bradley is my 5 year old who is currently in Kindergarten. He has a fabulous teacher Ms. Baird. Before Christmas they made gingerbread houses in her class. Bradley and Claudia are happy to share their creations with the world. Enjoy!

We are the CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!

My oldest sons name is Keith he is the starting wide receiver for the Thunderbird Chief's football team.

This year is the first year since 1990 that Thunderbird has gone to the the playoffs and the first time ever in the history of the schools 38 years the team has ever made it to the Championship playoff game.

The team this year was ranked number 14 and expected to be bumped of in the first round. Thinking about it we were picked to loose every game in the playoffs. Along with most of the games during the season also.

Well to the surprise of everyone (except for me) we made it to the BIG game. The boys were able to play at the ASU football stadium. How exciting for everyone involved. Keith wanted to make sure he got his picture taken when it was up on the jumbo tron.

The game was very exciting Thunderbird lead from the first minuets of the game until the fourth quarter when the other team was able to sneak up an take the lead. We tied the game to take it into overtime. The other team had the ball first and fumbled it on the two yard line. Thunderbird recovered kicked a field goal and WON the game.

What an exciting ride and the perfect way to end a high school football career.

Congratulations to all the players, coaches, parents, and fans who knew the boys would win. :O)

First of Many

I would like to say thank you to all of my girlfriends with great blogs. They have inspired me to start documenting my family and friends.

One of my friends Mandy at the beginning of the year decided to do a collage of pictures every week for a year. At the end of one year she will print it out and have a scrapbook of her family in 2011. I like this idea so much that I am going to barrow it from her. I hope she does not mind. :O)

Since I am starting in February I will back track a little to get myself current.
